Chloe O'Brian: Just checking your breath.
(Chloe walks off and returns to her workstation where Milo is waiting)
Chloe O'Brian: He’s fine.
Milo Pressman: Thank you.
Morris O'Brian: (to himself) Got to love this place.
Chloe O'Brian: I can’t believe this. If Tony’s been arrested, it’s over. Are you gonna tell Jack everything?
Bill Buchanan: We wanna get Tony back undercover, we’ll need his help.
Chloe O'Brian: I don’t think Jack’s in a very helpful frame of mind.
Bill Buchanan: He’s our only hope.
(over the phone)
Bill Buchanan: Chloe's already into their system.
Jack Bauer: Chloe's working on this?
Chloe O'Brian: Hi, Jack. It's good to hear your voice.
Jack Bauer: Yeah, you too.
Chloe O'Brian: I saw the hearings on C-SPAN. I can't believe what the senator said to you. You looked good, though.
Jack Bauer: Chloe, what have you got? We're boxed in.
Chloe O'Brian: Someone at FBI is blocking my every move. It's really starting to piss me off.
(Chloe hands Hastings Victor Aruz's file)
Chloe O'Brian: It was in a proprietary database. That's why it took so long.
Brian Hastings: Still, it shouldn't have thrown you. You've been here a month.
Chloe O'Brian: Almost a month. And I've had to re-learn the interface on every major system here. Everything's changed.
Brian Hastings: You're having trouble adapting, I understand. But I don't think it's a question of your intelligence.
Chloe O'Brian: (sarcastically) Thanks.
Brian Hastings: I think it's ambivalence.
Chloe O'Brian: Ambivalence?
Brian Hastings: I know the only reason you took this job was because your husband was downsized. Am I wrong?
Chloe O Brian: No! I mean, yes! Please, just give me a little more time to get up to speed here. Mr Hastings, I need this job.
Brian Hastings: Fair enough. But I'm all about efficiency, so if your performance doesn't improve, you
may wanna rethink working here. I trust this has been clarified?
Chloe O'Brian: Sure. You really wanted to be more efficient, why don't you just say if I don't catch up soon, I'm gonna be fired.
Chloe O'Brian: You've come to me for help many times, and I've never let you down. You've asked me to do crazy things. And I've always taken your side. Please. Help me. I can't do this by myself.
Jack Bauer: I'm sorry. I... I can't. Not this time. Not me.
Arlo Glass: Hey, O'Brian. Notice anything weird about Dana?
Chloe O'Brian: Miss Perfect?
Arlo Glass: She seems distracted, always making excuses to leave.
Chloe O'Brian: Maybe she's avoiding you.
Arlo Glass: What?
Chloe O'Brian: That's what I would do if someone was drooling over me all day. You're lucky she hasn't reported you to human resources.
Arlo Glass: If you weren't so jealous, you'd see I was asking you a serious question.
Chloe O'Brian: (sarcastically) Oh yeah, I'm jealous. Please, won't you stare at my ass as I walk away? (Chloe leaves her desk and walks off)
