Senator Palmer promises George Mason a promotion if he goes through with the trade of Alexis Drazen for Jack Bauer. Alexis is handed over, but the Drazen's men find the tracking device attached to him and destroy it. Jack is freed but is ordered to drive to a designated location if he ever wants to see her again.
