8:00 PM - 9:00 PMSeason 8, Episode 5Prod. #8AFF05 (Original Air Date - Jan 25, 2010) Story by: Howard Gordon & Manny Coto |
Dana Walsh: Arlo. Can I ask you something?
Arlo Glass: Yes, I'm available Saturday night. And I can change my plans for Friday, if you want. Also, I'm free on Thursday.
Dana Walsh: Look, Arlo, I'm sorry. It's just... a situation's come up and I have to go home for a while.
Arlo Glass: Dana, we're in the middle of a major protocol.
Dana Walsh: I understand that, and I won't be long, I promise. But I need you to cover for me. Put the finishing touches on the profile for Renee Walker and Jack Bauer.
Arlo Glass: And if I ask you what this is about, you'll tell me--
Dana Walsh: That it's none of your business.
Arlo Glass: Right. Thought so.
Dana Walsh: Send it to Chloe's screen as soon as you're finished.
Arlo Glass: Okay.
Dana Walsh: Thank you, Arlo. I owe you one.
Arlo Glass: One what?
A 'CTU' caption appears in the 'Previously on 24' opening segment for the first time since the penultimate episode of season 6 (4:00 am - 5:00 am). The only difference this time is that it is the New York CTU branch in question, as opposed to Los Angeles.
The life-threatening situation thatRenee finds herself in at the end of this hour has similarities to Day 7: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM where she is buried alive. Interestingly enough, both of these events occur at the end of the 5th hour of both seasons.
The suspenseful music heard at the end of this episode was also featured during the end of Day 6: 12:00pm-1:00pm when Phillip Bauer murdered his son, Graem Bauer.
The intense music played when Jack is following the decoy car is the same as Day 3: 12:00pm-1:00pm when Jack began to chase Arthur Rabens.
The skyline of the Islamic Republic of Kamistan is from the city of Cairo in Egypt.
