With mole Nina Myers detained, Jack returns inside CTU and reunites with his daughter, Kim. Jack sets about locating Teri and soon becomes concerned upon seeing a security guard that had been shot. Jack finds 
Teri to be tied up with bleeding wounds to her chest and abdomen. Upon carrying her away to seek medical attention, he realises that her wounds were fatal, also, therefore, resulting in the death of their unborn child. Nina Myers was the person responsible, after Teri cottoned on to Nina working undercover. Teri hearing the location of where Nina would flee to, proving the ultimate reason for Nina killing her. Of course, Nina wasn’t able to get away, but the damage had already been done.
A shocking end to the season, setting the marker that there is no such thing as a happy ending in 24.
