In the past 24 hours, Jack had learned of daughter Kim’s relationship with work partner Chase Edmunds, attempted to fend off a heroin addiction attained from working undercover, was forced to break jailed drug lord Ramon Salazar out of prison, once again encountered murderer of his wife Nina Myers, was forced to execute his boss Ryan Chappelle, avenged Nina Myers by killing her, tried to keep Chase out of field duties for Kim’s sake only for her to embark on a field mission herself, and was later forced to cut off Chase’s hand in order to contain a lethal virus.
Jack heads to his vehicle and reflects on the day's events, before breaking into tears.
