Sarah Clarke (Nina Myers) learned Arabic so that she could communicate convincingly on-screen with Faheen.
Elisha Cuthbert was bitten on the hand by the cougar featured in season 2 and was treated in hospital for puncture wounds.
Carlos Bernard sprained his ankle whilst playing basketball and was left requiring crutches at the time of filming season 2 of 24. However, the writers on the show were able to get around the misfortune by writing in a means in which he sustains the injury on-screen.
Bernard was not the only one to suffer a mishap during season 2, as Kiefer Sutherland injured his leg when exiting his trailer. The injury caused him to limp, so a scene where Jack Bauer removes a piece of shrapnel from his leg following the plane crash was added to the script.
Harris Yulin’s (Roger Stanton) name does not appear in either the opening or ending credits. All of 24’s regular cast members and guest stars have their names displayed along with one or more fellow actors’ at a time. Yulin wanted his name to appear alone, but as this was not possible, he opted not to be credited at all.
Reportedly, the Air Force One set featured in Season 2 was the same as the one used for the film Air Force One (1997) and the political drama television series, The West Wing.
